Hey everyone, it's Jenn here with the latest updates.
Now that Summer is here, and the kids are beginning to get out of school, what are some of your favorite projects to work on? I'd love to know, feel free to leave me a comment either here, on twitter, Facebook or on YouTube at LoveMadeCrafts. I have begun filming my tutorial videos, and will be posting them as I get them finished and edited, so keep your eyes out on the Videos page for those!
I also want to share with you all a little of my "underdog" story. For several years I attempted and re-attempted to make projects with the Catherine's Wheel Stitch. It's a very beautiful pattern, and had always eluded me. It caused me to throw my yarn on several occasions and eventually give up on ever succeeding at making it. Until a friend convinced me to try again. So I did... going into it expecting the same results that I've had all this time, and got the surprise of my life. Not only did I manage to do the pattern, but IT MADE SENSE! That beautiful little lightbulb came on and made me and everything around me glow with knowledge! It's 6 hours later, and I'm still stoked!
Below you'll find a picture of my WIP and a link to the video I watched to finally understand it, but the moral of this is DON'T GIVE UP!! It's okay to walk away for a little while, to take a break, to re-evaluate, but now I know... the only way to really fail at something is to stop trying. With that, I love you guys, and I always look forward to seeing your work in the Community Post sections.

Hello again everyone, Jenn here with the latest updates! This month has been crazy for me you guys, no kidding. SO I am behind in my projects and patterns for you, but I'm working on them again to get them all finished up. I'm hoping to get a new pattern that I made uploaded and operational for you all before April. That is the goal... done and uploaded and operational before April! Here's hoping there aren't any unforseen obstacles!! More new news is that I have already begun filming tutorials for the basics of crochet. I know there are a couple thousand videos on YouTube already, but I learned a different way than most people, and MAYBE if I share with you all how it clicked for me, it could help someone else learn. (That's the hope anyway)
The videos will appear here first, and then they will be uploaded and edited for YouTube once they're here and covered under my copyrights. Afterall, we all want credit for our work right? SO! Once you all see them posted, I would love to get your feedback from them to let me know how I'm doing. If they're informational, easy to follow, and best of all if they're helpful.
Also as mentioned before I have 2 new patterns I have made and want to share with you all. I am in the process of "tweaking" them now. I'm trying very hard to write them out in a way that's easy to understand AND is also the most accurate way to describe what is happening with the stitches. I am also using the American standardized abbreviations to help keep everything on track.
That's all I have for you all for now, so until next time...

Hello everyone! Jenn here today. Just wanted to pop in and update everyone on what all has been going on. I'm STILL working on filming tutorials, and figuring out how to write my own patterns to bring to you all. So please be on the lookout for those coming soon!
Yesterday, I met a wonderful woman in the most unexpected place! I walked into my local Books A Million to look at my favorite magazines Crochet Today! and Crochet 1-2-3 and in doing so, I met a very nice woman with the same love of crochet and knitting as me. I just so happened to be wearing my Diamond Lace Infinity Scarf inspired by a tutorial done on YouTube my Kristen on the Goodknitkisses channel. I watched her video a handful of times, and took the stitch pattern she demonstrated, and used it to make an infinity scarf! I'll post a link below to the video of the diamond lace demonstration for you all as well. So, I'm looking forward to a new friend and member here to LoveMadeCrafts.
Thats all I have for now everyone. As always feel free to post and share your creativity in the Community Post section, and add your comments to the projects already featured there.
The link to Kristen's video:
and please, if you like the video, give it a thumbs up and you can even subscribe to her channel, there's always something new and wonderful from her channel!
Take care, and as always, Happy Crafting!

Hello again everyone, Jenn here! The new year has already been a rush of new and fresh creativity! I've made a few new things that I'll post in the Freshly Finished category in the Community Post section. I have come across a couple of sites that have been a huge help to kickstarting my creativity, and getting me back into my normal rhythm. I'll be posting links to those sites below so you all can enjoy the benefits as well.
I have also decided to try and write a pattern for the newest cowl I made. It's worked as a flat panel from top to bottom, then sewn together to form the ring of the cowl itself. Be on the lookout for that to come in the Patterns section. LoveMadeCrafts has also come to Facebook! Our own official page that brings you the latest and greatest news from in the minute. Be sure to check it out, like, and share with your friends!
That's all the updates for now, so until next time...

My goodness how time flies! It's already December, already time to think about Christmas, and New Years. To think about family gatherings and all the yummy food that comes along with it! Lately I have noticed that there are more and more creative ideas on Christmas crafts, and even crocheted/knit Christmas gifts. It took me awhile to work up the courage, but I finally decided to attempt one! You'll see an example of that on the main welcome page, and also in the Community Post section.
I have decided to try and contact some of the artists of whom I've derived inspiration from, and request their permission to feature some of their ideas here. I do hope to have those running soon, along with some of my own crafty ideas for you all. As always, the patterns I post here are free to you all.
With Christmas coming I've had time to reflect and really put things into perspective. This year has been a challenge both for me, and my family, and I am more thankful this year than for any other. With those challenges and losses has come a greater appreciation for the "little things" that can never be replaced, and that money will never buy. This will be my last news update this year, as I will be taking time to spend with my family this season, and I will return in the new year. I hope to see ALL of your creative crafties when I come back, as you are all welcome to post your creations in the Community Post section under the Members tab.
As always, Happy Crafting!

Hello again everyone, Jenn here. I'm so sorry I've been absent for a few weeks, but I came down with the MOTHER of all flu bugs. Luckily I am feeling better now, and ready to tackle the projects ahead of me. First thing is first, I will be posting soon a leaf pattern from the very talented Sheru Knitting from YouTube her leaf pattern is really easy to follow, so look for it soon in our Videos section with full credits to them. I do not own the video, but was granted permission to share it with you all. Second, we are going to be posting more and new videos very soon featuring both my soaps making, and some of my knitting projects.Included in the videos I'll be posting soon will be a SUPER easy to follow loom knit slipper pattern.
I always look forward to seeing your creativity shine through here, and I hope to see you all lighting up the Members Crafts section inspiring each other. What are you all working on now? Are you making things for Christmas? Are you making birthday presents? I'd love to hear!
As always Happy Crafting!

Hello again everyone Jenn here. This past week, I haven't been feeling well, and have been stuck in bed trying to feel better. All this down time though, has given me ample time to craft and crochet. In the Community Post section the Freshly Finished thread has been updated (by me) and I do hope to see more projects coming in from all of you! Afterall LoveMadeCrafts is meant for all of us, not just me!
The holidays are coming, (rapidly at that) and it seems as if I have been crafting more and more trying to get ready for the gift giving season. I hope you all are also prepping for the sure to be busy season this year. In the upcoming month, I should be uploading the detergent videos, posting more of my loom knitting patterns, and some of my pattern ideas for the fall season. Also coming soon will be some crochet patterns and some home decoration projects that work up SO fast!
Well that's it for now everyone. Until next time, Happy Crafting!
Here are a couple pictures of what Ive been up to. Hopefully they'll inspire you all too.

Hello again everyone Jenn here bring you all some updates! I posted last time about making a pumpkin hat, and trying to figure out how to make them, well... I did it!
This is how the pumpkin hat you all saw before turned out!
This is the second hat I made from the original pumpkin hat pattern. Except, this one is the first Jack O Lantern hat I have attempted.
This is the third hat I made. The Jack O Lantern hat.
I learned alot along the way making those hats, and I like to think that with each one, I made improvements. If you all want, I can share a pattern with you all in the patterns section. Other than that, filming has started on the detergent videos I mentioned last week I just have more editing to do. (Im a little bit of a perfectionist)
Well everyone it's time to go again, but as always Happy Crafting!

Hello again everyone Jenn here with some new updates. I have been scouring the interwebs for patterns and projects to do to help me get into the fall holidays spirit. Great news is... right now I'm working on a couple of things that are definitely helping to get in the spirit of things. Starting with crocheting a pumpkin hat! Oooooooh I can't wait to finish it and have my model start modeling it!
Other than that, I have also been working on a small video series (only 5 or 6 total) showing you all how I make my different soaps, and detergents. I know sometims recipes can't/don't always tell you all you need to know, so I want to help bypass that. Plus, some just learn better by seeing it done! For that reason, starting within the next couple of weeks I will be posting videos here and with YouTube to show you how those things are made! For those who don't want to make them, I do sell them too! Check out the web store and they should be listed.
That's all I have this week, but as always.... Happy Crafting!
This is a picture of the pumpkin hat in progress! It's worked into a rectangle first, then made round once size is reached. I can't wait!!!
